What to donate
Gift Cards
Pre-loaded gift cards are one of the best ways to donate goods to us. Gift cards allow us to buy what we need when we need it, without taking up too much storage space. Dollarama, Walmart, grocery stores, Michael’s Craft Supplies, and hardware stores are some of our favourite places to shop.
Crafts and sporting supplies
Our Campers love crafting! Supplies like playdough, Elmer’s white glue, fine paint brushes and acrylic paint are always welcomed (please keep in mind that our space is limited, so a gift card to your favourite craft store will work, too)!
Camping and sporting equipment and first aid kit supplies are other great things to donate. Check out our full donation Wish List and contact us for arrangements.
Services
We need occasional help from skilled trades people to make sure our facilities are running smoothly. Please contact us if you’re able to donate your expertise in plumbing, electrical, or carpentry to our downtown Toronto or overnight camp locations.
Cars & vehicles
We’ve partnered with Donate a Car Canada so that you can donate your unwanted vehicle and support a good cause at the same time! Free towing is provided to maximize your donation.
When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat or motorcycle to us through Donate a Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction. After your vehicle donation is complete, you’ll receive a tax receipt and we will put your gift to good use.

How can I make my donation?

What can I donate?
We accept a wide variety of donations from glue for slime making to wood for the wood shop. We cannot accept used toys or materials based on our health and safety protocol (all donated items must be new).
Please review our wish list or contact Campfire Circle staff if you’d like to donate something that isn’t listed.
Can I get a tax receipt if I donate goods?
The CRA and Campfire Circle have specific rules around tax receipting for gift in kind donations. In certain circumstances, Campfire Circle may provide a tax receipt for the fair market value of your gift at the time the donation was made.
Please contact us to learn about about your donation’s eligibility for a tax receipt and what’s required in order to receive a tax receipt.
Can I get a tax receipt if I donate services?
The CRA doesn’t allow charities to issue tax receipts for donated services. Campfire Circle can provide you with a business acknowledgement letter than can be used to write-off your generous gift as a business expense.
